How many here live in cold, snowy climates?

After coming back from Florida, I have never seen so many clean cars in my life!!! All the MBs were in great shape and shined up and there are detailing centres on every corner. So how many here live in the "dirty" climate and have to drive thorough dirty slush and salt with their MB's ?

I feel sorry for my 126...as it is a former West Palm Beach car!

Just out side of Toronto, and originally from Halifax, NS. Snowy salty winters every year, some worse than others foir cold and snow, but a dirty car is practically guaranteed. Makes you appreciate the 48 hour guaranteed car washes that wash again for free within 2 days.

I used to, but not any more. Although it's been barely above freezing here the last few mornings in Seattle....without clouds, our residual heat leaks away...

The family Benz is used to cold climates, since it was sold new at a dealer in Fairbanks, Alaska. My car's from Fort Collins, Colorado, so it's probably used to the cold too.

I normally do, but it sure feels like summer today. 46 and not a cloud in the sky. I put my indoor herb plants out on the porch for a good does of sunshine.

I never wash the car in the winter. Ten seconds out of the wash and it's all dirty again. Besides, you can't wax it yourself and you get that really bad wax which strips off after two days.

I live in NW New Jersey

Although it rarely gets really cold.........we do get a pretty good pile of snow every winter. They really do know how to handle the snow, but I have to make a bunch of trips to the brushless carwash.

Well, the normal temp for Edmonton today is -20. El Nino is giving us one mild winter, but it is supposed to be -13 tomorrow.

I understand Edmonton is the coldest 1,000,000 population city on the planet... (Moscow #2)

I dont know if MA is considered snowy and cold. Last year was really mild!! I could probably count the number of days it actually snowed.....

This year though is completely different. Makes me wish I had another car to drive...

Good thing that school starts in a few days.. that way... I walk to school (My car is smiling right now I bet)

In Denmark they pour TONS of that dreaded salt on the roads during winter. To keep your car clean you have to wash it every 15 minutes.

This pic is taken the day the first snow fell. -Before they had salted the roads. So under the pristine white snow the Benz is clean as a whistle.

Used to

Brought up and learned how to drive and fix rust holes in Olean, NY, about 80 miles south of Buffalo, left there for Sunny So Cal in 1978. The cold snow and perpetually cloudy skys were the main reason for leaving, although I've seen more snow here. Went up to the Sierres and they had 200 inches of snow on the ground. No snow belt blizzard can touch that Since then my whole family has come out here.

I point I like to remember is my last car I put 11 years and 260,000 miles on it and had snow on it once (vacation in Tahoe), and never snow tires.

Montreal, Quebec, Canada.
We invented cold snowy winters. I live in the Westmount area which is very hilly, and therefore receives an extra heavy salting.
