i do agree that the incidences of trolling activities have gone down significantly. FYI, the remark i took umbrage at was comparing the arbitrary deletion of a thread to activities of Poland's totalist regime in the 70's.

Ashman- understood. I really just wanted an explanation.
And I agree that nasty, epithet (sp?) filled posts are just aggrevating, not entertaining. I simply did not see any of THAT on this webpage.
jsmith- pls do not make a molehill of my remark into a mountain.
As I tried to explain,I just tried (sarcasticly) to find out why was the thread deleted, because as of last time I thought I did not read anything warranting its demise. I REALLY did not intend to compare moderators to any of the communists from Eastern Europe circa mid 70's. I thought that was clear, but I guess not.

However, I still do not like the Arbitrary way of thread deletions. But, I can understand it a little better after Ashman post.

as to mountains and molehills, well, i guess that has to do with my concern - which is that there be more civility and respect for each other on the board. everyone really has to consider the content of what is posted on this board moving forward. i enjoy a lively exchange as much as the next person and i don't think that such discussions will go away just because we tone down the rhetoric...
