I hate the word VALUE

It is the new buzzword of trickery!!!

People are brainwashed by this word, and are swayed into buying a bigger size drink or portion, vehicle, computer etc....

My own father, for God's sake has been fooled by this junk!!!

When I visit the house now, the fridge and freezer is filled with rediculously large containers! I have been moved out now for 2 years with school and will soon be graduating and saving for a house of my own.

With less people in the household, my father buys larger sizes!(ha) to save money (not) and then ends up throwing food away since it is going bad!!!

He has been suckered into buying too much just for the deal!!!

I am furious about this concept!!!

People who live life through this concept are
1) Cheap and 2) Stupid!!!

They never enjoy what they really want because they cannot ignore the "value" of the similar or imitation product...

What a stupid way to go through life, never enjoying what you really want!!!

You only live life once people! Buy what you like! Do not upsize or valuesize or stupidsize!

If you can't afford what you want, wait and save for it !!!

Mike McKinney

Value is a good thing. It's people's notion of what constitutes a good value that is messed up.

I agree Glen. Take our beloved marquee for example: the more expensive price paid is returned over time for the long-gevity, safety, and performance of the cars That's value!

Now all your Dad has to do is get that vacuum foodsaver thing. Problem is bags cost a lot! I "stock up" a lot on sales and stuff. But I use it all. Maybe you should tell him that a half side of beef does not really count as an asset!

I can keep food frozen in the freezer for many many months. I vacuum seal it using that foodsaver device. works as advertised.

Now stuff in the fridge is a different story. but my frozen goods, from bread to meat, stay perfectly happy in the freezer for months until I am ready to eat them.

Cup Holders

The M-Class has two cupholders and that is enough for every country in the world.

In North America however they had to add a big slushy holder, in the center console, for our ever expanding waist lines.

In the day of super-sizing everything, I also say enough already
