Sine some of you feel that you don't want me as a moderator, I figured I would let the majority decide.

Alon

Perhaps I haven't read enough of this forum to have a good basis for a fair response, but AFAIK, you haven't done anything except for an excellent job running things around here. I know that moderating a forum where people tend to get overzealous (which, from what little I gather, has been happening as of late) is a thankless task (if I didn't think I'd go nuts doing it, I'd offer to help out myself; I have enough thankless things to do with my life; why not add one more? ) and I for one appreciate all the work they have to do (I've been the subject of multiple attacks on other sites)...

Just my $.02... *flame suit on; I have a bad feeling I'm going to need it *

Of all the posts which should be removed, this should be one of them. You've done a fantastic job and I see no reason to even ask the question.

Alon,
In the short time when I tried my hand at it, I asked this too and everyone said "you're doing fine". That's about when open season started and certain people were letting loose with both barrels. Those parties have not weighed in on this thread either...

In any group you are going to have 10% or so that never get the message or are not smart enough to understand the message even when confronted by it .... and some who were not raised to respect other people...others who can not analyse a set of facts and come up with a logical result to save their life....

Then , since anyone can post that can go to a library,,,, the same aberations as have been noted in " mob" behavior apply but with individual names attached.... because it is still relatively annonymous.... if each persons face and address were attached to each post the tone would be very different.... But you would not get as honest a set of answers if that were the format...so it is a trade off at one level...

Democracy is based on secret voting..( but we are not allowed to write opinions on the ballots....LOL.)

So you have to have your own standards by which you judge your behaviour as a moderator.....since I am not aware of any abuses of power by you I voted you stay.....

I hope you're not serious about resigning as a moderator, because I know the open forum would get way out of hand, and it would probably get shut down. Please reconsider.

You are doing a great job. Just hang in there. Just remember some jobs could be thankless and you cannot please everyone all the time.
This is a great forum and we need both you and the forum. I hope this is the sentiment of all of us and so far the vote is 92 % whick speaks for itself.

I think the voting says it all. Thew majority say no they don't want you to go. I have always found you to be one of the top contributors to this site and always enjoy your posts. Being moderator is certainly not an easy job, so I think you are to be commended for the work you've done. I think most will agree with me.

Being on different forums before and some are not car related...mercedesshop seems calm and cool to me and I dont see what all the complaints are about. Alon, just stay as moderator cause you're doing a good job and who cares what anyone else says.

Some people here should grow up and learned to take some sarcasim sometimes cause its part of life!!

I think you're doing a fine job.

I am on the board of directors of my homeowners association, so I know what it's like to do a thankless job.

The board of directors gets criticized from time to time when homeowners disagree with a particular decision, yet they fail to notice all of the good things we do. They also give no consideration to the hours and hours we give of our own personal time performing the duties and responsibilities that go along with managing a homeowners assocation.

Keep up the good work.
