U-300/400/500 Mog
Howdy Diesel-Lover
At a $120,000 USD the new Mog might be a little out of his range for at least the first couple months You are right about the driver controls sliding back and forth. If you want to read more on the new Mog there is a thread or 2 in the Unimog forum.

I would be curious to see how it works in reality.

Diesel-lover, thats sounds like neat setup. The truck I drove was a Freightliner Business Class with the right side of the cab cut out and a bus type folding door installed. It had two steering wheels, two sets of foot pedals, etc., drove it standing up on right side. It freaked a lot of folks who saw a truck running down the road "with no driver". I know that even this one at about 90 grand wound be a little out of reach at first but the guy who owned the company started out with a one ton flatbed with the stake sides. When he sold the company he had five trucks, two like the one I drove, two conventional cab rear loaders and one mini rear loader (for those too lazy to roll their can to the street), plus a recycling truck w/trailer.
The Mog would be classy for sure, imagine the looks of folks who saw your trash being collected by a Benz truck.
