What do ya'll think of this

Some folks at work got all worried when they saw you can do this. If you go to www.google.com and type in your phone number with hyphens (do not use parenthesis) it will return your name and address and provide a map to your house if you want. I don't think it is any different than what you can get from your local phone book.
What do ya'll think?

It's only a little easier than looking up a name in the phone book and going to mapquest to find the directions. I'm not concerned.

Howdy All,
No big deal. Nobody wants to find me anyways. And if they did find me they sure would be disappointed.

no more privacy as we go into the future.

a great Kenneth Cole ad reads "You're on camera 8 times a day, so dress for it."

i am in my school's computer lab and told everyone about this, they all typed in their numbers and were shocked.

I just did mine, and it pointed to someone else! We haven't lived here long; the number may belong to the person who had the number before us...different address, but same city.

Yup! Found me too!

But if they wanted to target a Tomahawk based on the alleged location of my house on the map, they would hit the house on the opposite end of the block from me!

But yeah, the info available can be easily procured elsewhere...such is technology today! Embrace it, or live in fear of it.

Didn't find me either, as I only use a cell phone now.

It also didn't find my sister and brother in laws' house through their landline, but did find my mother's house with her landline.
