It is false: http://www.snopes.com/inboxer/nothing/billgate.asp

Anything suspicious can be checked at www.snopes.com or www.truthorfiction.com . If it seems to good to be true, it is usually false.

25 grand for participating in a beta test? Betas never pay anything!!

DId you reply to whoever sent you it to let them know quite how dumb they appear to be?

Oh yeah one more thing, when this guy supposedly forwarded this email (from microsoft or whoever) how did he manage to type at the end 'i thought it was a scam but later money appeared in my account' obviously before he had even sent it. Does he have ESP? Can he see into the future? He might make more money using those skills.

I just dont understand what the author has to gain from fabricating this garbage. We're not sending in any money. Whats the point?
