I feel sad today

Listed below is the link to a story about a locall mall that is being torn down in the name of progress. I have lived in Hunt Valley my entire life and I feel a special attachment to this mall since, my first job out of the military was building this mall. I was out there as an apprentice laying down bricks. When I saw the video of the mall being torn down, I felt deeply saddened since I helped build that mall with my own two hands.

Oh, I understand now why they must have decided to "get rid of the old" and "bring in the new".

The old name was the "Hunt Valley Mall."

The new name will be the "Hunt Valley Towne Center".

Any time you add the letter "e" to the end of "town", it means it's better.

Sorry you have to see it go.

You also know its better when "center" is spelled "centre"

Yup! I wonder why they didn't go all out and do it to that word in the name too.

Howdy All,
Just to add a little bit of a twist to this. How would you feel if you had built the houses that they tore down so they could build that mall?¿

The mall that got blown........construction workers ruptured a gas line and it leaked into the mall somehow where it ignited most likely in the pizza parlour. The small mall had a 2nd floor which ended up being buried into the ground and the basement was many metres into the ground. The mall went into the air and then down!

All of the houses in the area had exploded windows and dont talk about the cars nearby.........
