Hello!
I spent most of the evening trying to set up the DSL conection for a friend's computer. He's using the SBC Yahoo service, and has a new modem/router combination (although we first tried it with the original modem, which was ancient). At this point, the modem will connect and indicates that it stays connected, but after a few minutes, web pages (even the settings page within the router) stop loading. Again, it'll work perfectly for those first few minutes (as much as 15 once) before it "dies". At this point, I'm guessing that something's not right in the software settings...particularly 'cause the friend lost the paperwork that gives that information, and I couldn't find anything on SBC's website. Does anyone have any ideas? BTW, this is on a freshly installed Windows 98SE system. Thanks in advance!
