Vitamins

What type of vitamins should I be taking for a healthy complexion?

My aunt and uncle are coming in six weeks, I haven't seen them in 2 years. When I got back from Spain everyone commented that I had such a healthy complexion and kind of a glow---I want to look the same way when my aunt and uncle arrive from San Diego. Unfortunately the glow is fading and I think vitamins may do the trick and bring it back. Our neighbor said the reason I looked so healthy when I got back from Spain was that the food was much more wholesome there than in NJ. Well, I can't eat fish and paella everyday here, but I can surely take vitamins, I just need to know which ones to take and if they can work their magic in six weeks.

Howdy James,
Your best bet might be is to go to a health food store and talk to the people there. Also I was wondering why you can't eat fish every day in NJ?¿

Frank X Morris, fish is very expensive even down at the shore. Fish, especially white fish, was expensive in Spain too. The only reason I ate it almost everyday is that I was on vacation.

I've talked to people in Maine who say most of the fish is shipped off to the Orient or to France and that leaves us with a shortage and pushes the prices up. When I lived in the dorm last semester the only fish we got was battered and deep fried, long john type stuff which wasn't as healthful as the burgers probably

James,

I take GNC's Megamen Vitamins...They are great! I always notice a difference in energy when taking them. I believe the Vitamin that best helps your skin is Vitamin A. Someone will correct me if I'm wrong. Megamen contains 200% the daily value as Beta carotene.

Howdy James,
Interesting situation you have there with the fish.
If you go to a health food store you might ask if fish oil extract might be the thing you need.

I've got no idea what vitamins to take....

But here are some other ideas:

1. Drink LOTS of water during the day. It gets rid of a lot of toxins and helps keep you (and your skin) hydrated. Hydrated skin isn't dry, wrinkled skin.

2. Use an exfoiliant on your skin every now and then. It will remove any dead skin and dirt that normal soap can't get to.

3. Apply a light moisturizer in the morning after you shower and shave. Apply it all over your face and below the chin on your neck where you also shave. Nothing feminine about doing that: I just make sure the moisturizer says "For Men" on the bottle so the housemates don't wonder! Also, make sure to use a moisturizer that doesn't have mineral oil in it. You may as well rub 10-w-40 on your face if you use moisturizer with mineral oil in it. It's the same thing. I use a moisturzer made by Jason, which I found at Whole Foods (Fresh Fields).

4. Nothing makes one's face appear younger and more lively than a big SMILE!!
