7 Speed Automatic Tranny

Anyone have any detailed info on the new MB 7 Speed tranny. There was a brief write up in The Star on it. Sounds pretty cool.

*cough*Allison-licensed design*cough*
Allison did make a 7 speed tranny for fire trucks and tour buses way before the MB 7 speed was announced.

It's almost like a Allison, the Allison WTEC II/III series of bus and truck automatics do have electronics in them with a external ECM for shift control and redunancy in them.
