Experiences with CLK

I had a used 190E (1991) a few years ago, but was quite disappointed by all the tiny little problems of the car.

I am now considering a CLK230 Kompressor (2000), and could anyone give me some comments about this car? Is this reliable and free from problems?

Thanks

steve

do you mean the little convertible [slk230]?

the 230's are a bit underpowered, but are a fun 2nd or 3rd car.

try the r170 section at http://forums.mbworld.org/forums/

this forum [mbworld] deals with a big variety of benzes.

a family friend just bought a 2001 slk320 silver with red/black designo interior.

In other markets, the CLK chassis was sold with all kinds of engines/transmissions. The CLK was sold with several four cylinder engines.

Where are you?

I am living in Hongkong. (I think you must have heard about this place for SARS, even if you don't know where it is... thanks God that everything is back to normal now)

We had CLK230 Kompressor, CLK320 and CLK320 Cabriolet in 2000, but we have only CLK240 and CLK320 this year... I think the CLK in the States are usually CLK420. Right?

CLK230 Kompressor pulls good (193 HP) however it sounds just like the 2 litre kompressor engine -- nasty. in the US there's no 4 cylinder option for CLK and E classes-good for them.
