Disclaimer: I am a patriotic free thinking non politically affiliated American who disagrees with this big spending, special interest pandering administration. When I say administration, I am not referring to the Republican party, because as I understand it, Republicans are for small government and protecting civil rights.

I find it awfully embarassing that we are now in a position that we have to go to the UN for help. The organization that the administration threatened would become irrelevant if it didn't authorize the invasion of Iraq, is now being asked to assist us in cleaning up what we have wrought there. Saddam is a bad guy, but if we weren't in such an all fired hurry to go ff half cocked and invade, maybe we could have sone a better job and not have created a lawless terrorist no man's land. Which is better? A merciless brutal dictatorship or a chaotic land that attracts terrorists from all over the world filled with illegal arms. Zero sum gain in my opinion.

Here's an excerpt from an article from some guy in Salon (?) named Gary Kamiya. Its too happy about our current situation for my taste, but that doesn't make it any less impactful. It'll probably make MikeMover and Piotr's heads explode (i.e. they really won't like it).

Bomb the lot of them: everyone East of the English channel, all the way to China. they're all worthless, scrounging troublemakers and we could do with their oil. I've got no idea why the West lets the Arab world keep all that oil: what do they do with it? Hold the West to economic ransom and waste the profits on solid gold toilets and torture chambers for anyone who dares dissent. If George W really is listening: warm up the Nukes, that's what I say (and don't take any ***** from Tony Blair).

I'd start with everyone east of the East Coast of the United States - wouldn't want to leave any stone unturned. Never thought much of those who live outside the USA - they just don't matter.

BTW - what ever became of the "Neutron" Bomb? Woundn't want to destroy any cool material possesions - sure there are a lot of nice cars "over there" - Would really help bring down the cost of things being that there would be so many fewer people to compete against - I'm liking this idea more and more! Maybe I CAN have a Ferrari after all!

ERRR, I actually agree. We still do not need UN, It's a BAD, bad idea. The best proof that I'm right (as always :D ) is that Howard "Nikita" Dean wants to give everything to UN. I have a better plan- lets start bombing WEST- of the rockies. When we get rid of that dead albatross around our necks (Kalifornia) lets go to N Korea, China, and then Far East. Then, let's jump to Germany (again) and finish up with France. Get rid of dead wood. I'd say in 1 week the World would be a better place.

Anyway, I think it's obvious that planning for post War Iraq was horrendous. Let's fix it by taking our gloves off with pro Saddam, Pro Syria, and pro France/Un crowd. :D :cool:
