Ther is an inacuracy in this article: When the feds issued a temporary injunction banning Irwin Schiff's book he did in fact stop selling it. They are trying to put him in jail anyway.
Yes the feds are trying to ban a book. I guess they forgot all about the first amendment.

Yup...when the federal income tax was first introduced, it was supposed to be "temporary"...Why did people back then actually BELIEVE that bull$h!t?....Once the government legislates it's way further into your wallet, there is very little hope of reversing it.

They love to extoll the virtues of the first amendment, until you start saying something that exposes thier true nature, eh?

You are given two choices by our Imperial Federal Government and the IRS: Shut up and live with the forced redistribution of your earnings, or live a miserable life and/or be imprisoned for the "crime" of fighting for the right to keep what you earn.

I agree, we have to pay something to keep the country running. But I hate all the tactics the IRS uses to get the money out of us, like having it taken out of our paychecks before we even see it. Imagine the uprising in this country if we had to actually write a check every week to the IRS for taxes owed? Sure, it's a simpler way of having them paid, but a lot of people never even check to see how much they're actually paying!

The IRS is one of my clients (sorry! I need to eat just like the next guy). I direct many of the televised programs and skits (yes, with actual actors!) that they put together to help instruct agents all over the country how to conduct effective interviews, get the money, and bipass popular tactics by the "TP" (taxpayer in IRS-speak) to avoid paying taxes.

I did, though, see a skit the other day where a IRS supervisor was scolding an agent that hadn't kept up with the paperwork between he and a taxpayer. "You didn't work in the best interest of the taxpayer", she said, "and you cost him more money in the long run". I was at least pleased to see that, but it's mostly bad overall.

I agree totally we need taxes for government. Those taxes should be legally impossed and not extorted through terrorism. (the tactics the IRS uses, who is'nt terrified of the IRS? They can pretty much do anything they want with compete impunity they even have the media running scared they really dont want more people reading Irwin Schiff's book)
It is a misconception that without our voluntary supposed personal income tax contributions the goverment would be without money. We are already paying taxes on everything we use or consume. We are being double and tripple taxed.

Where is the law that says we have to file?
Where is the law that establishes our liability?

What is going on is very destructive.

Famillies are dependant on both husband and wife working. Spending little or no time with their kids. Alot of the hardest working people just decide not to have kids.
And the government is out there throwing our money around like a bunch of drunken sailors.

And now they want another 80 billion.

Where do they get it? They don't wait to collect it in taxes like they used to. They just print it up. Further erroding our economy and our money.
