Bullet Proofing Of Car ...
I am looking into this add-on, and perhaps think that we may be able to bring some bullet-proofing technologies here.
Have you thought of it?

I thought Malaysia was a safe place. Or are you just being extra careful?

This was recently featured on one of the learning channels. They can bullet proof any vehicle. A lot of it involves adding customized armor inside the outer door skin. Keep looking for a repeat of the show.

Yes, Malaysia is a pretty safe country, and its security is almost as good as that of Singapore. Remember that Malaysia or Singapore has extremely strict laws. Many violations, including carrying a tiny amount of cocaine etc... are subject to capital punishments by hanging or firing squads, and these contribute to the stability and security in these 2 countries.
Don't compare Malaysia or Singapore to other Muslim countries in South East Asia. One such example is Indonesia - the most populous Muslim country in the world and one of the most unsecure and unstable countries nowadays. |

Thanks all for the comments.
Malaysia is indeed a safe place, but it could be safer for many people - especially those who head big corporations. We have had a few incidences of drivers being shot at close range while waiting at the lights. So, I thought this would be a great time to look at bullet-proof manufacturers and explore a possibility of setting up such a service over here. It would be an instant "hit" with many sections of the corporate and business community who has too much cash to spare, but with only one life. Any leads would be most welcomed. To add: I have seen a W140 bullet-proofed. But it was quite a clumsy fit and a sure tell of its armour. What I have in mind is something more discreet ... and not too costly.

Dear ymsin:
During the Internet Boom in the US (1998-2000), many instant millionaires (thanks to incredibly inflated stock options) spent quite a lot of money to bullet-proof their cars. The cost might be at least US$100K or more. BTW, dare you guys speak evil of your long-lived prime minister Mahathir Mohamad or risk getting arrested like his former deputy minister (former finance minister) Anwar Ibrahim? : Were the sodomy charges against Anwar Ibrahim actually true or just fabricated by Mahathir's minions...pour fermer sa bouche? ymsin: are you a native Malaysian or just a foreigner living there?
