Love to see you post the times on the 1/4 slip. Most impoetantly, the 60 feet, and 1/8 mile markers, plus the final elapsed time. Just like to know real life performance numbers. Looking at your tires, they appear to be modestly sticky. Is that dead grass they picked up after the run? Dan Smith, Oregon

Here's the info "clipped" from another thread

I ran only one run with traction control off...13.439 @ 105.79. The two other runs I tried were with traction control on. I should mention this is on a stock CLK55 on 93 pump octane, 35 psi tires, 1/2+ tank of fuel, and a full trunk (spare, tools, etc.).

My full slip reads:

R/T: .803
60: 2.131
330: 5.770
1/8: 8.745
MPH: 82.57
1000: 11.297
1/4: 13.439
MPH: 105.79

I ran on stock tires (Michelin Pilot Sports).

Temp was 70 deg, overcast and very humid (80%+)

*****

Our parking area was grassy

Good performance. If you can lower your weight; tools, spare, and unneeded fuel by lets say by 100 pounds, your time is 1/10 second faster. I assume your tire burned a bit of rubber. If so, lower that pressure first to 30, run. Then to 25 pounds, run again. Compare and see what works with your tires of choice. The best tire for this purpose without doubt, I've tested numerous varities, is the Goodyear Eagle Show Room Stock Class. It's a racing radial, sticky as a Mickey Thompson slick but superior in the back end of the race to Mickey Thompsons. Combined, with ASR off, 13 seconds could be approached with one minor altreration of your fuel. What alterations do I suggest you ask. Check the M-100 Boards, go to any or all of the three boards. The most in detail is the M-100 IAMO board under, "Need For Speed". This fuel has been tried and proven. In your case, not 100 low lead, but 100 unleaded plus the rocket fuel cocktail I use. Good luck and great work. You are educating the vast unwashed masses about the engineering marvels and breackthroughs, created By Benz.
