Last weekend...

I drove up to see some snow. When I had enough, I left. My choice, not Mom's (Mother nature.)

Ahem. >cough<

There is a beast called a metric ton. A thousand kilograms. Or 2,205 pounds. Or 2.205 short tons. Or 0.984 long ton. Take your pick.

Keep the car clean and don't cover it with a tarp that doesn't breathe.

Somewhere on this forum there is a thread about parking in a heated garage vs. an unheated. Or was it on the Diesel discussion? That might give you more information.

And, just to add my two cents to the climate debate....some day I want to convert an ice class boat into my home and spend most of my time around Greenland. But, by the time I get to do that, Greenland will have become Tahiti and between the glocal warming and the "ice-mining" for fossil fresh water for very rich people, there will be no glaciers nor icebergs left.

Mind you, for the desert-detractors there is a lot of seasonal variety in the desert...it is subtle, though, and you just don't see it if you spend your time in a suburban subdivision and your car. Scars in the desert don't heal as fast as they do in a more humid place, either. Nor in the tundra. Much of that is pretty arid...just really cold.

It does get that cold occasionally, and I hate it...but it never lasts for more than a few days.

I lived "off Highland" for about 7 years, right by the Carter Center, until we moved into our loft back in April.

I think I had too much beer tonight. Good night.
hey man... I have a size 13 shoe, and it doesn't snow here at all in San Diego...
