Is this a Euro ML?

Seems to have A-class c-pillars.

A little heavy on the flares and cladding but I like the Nissan headlights.

Anyone know what engine it has? Almost looks like an M104 inline-6...

Great find, Gilly. Now the inline-6 makes sense!
Somehow, I think the Korean market is getting better vehicles then the rest of MB world

Here, this should be enough info:

http://www.ssangyong.co.nz/

Seems that they were in partnership at one time with Dae Woo, so a Korean company I am assuming.

Ooo, this is an interesting quote from that NZ website though:

Quote:
SsangYong models are all built in Korea, using largely Mercedes-Benz licensed technology.

I didn't realize they were allowed to market outside Korea. A 5-speed manual (Tremec) is available with the 3.2 M104-derived engine...very cool! I believe the Chairman model is based on the W124 chassis...

Thanks. I could see the name on top of the bumper, thought it said "Pexton", but then I noticed the "Rex" on the temp plate on the front, so thought maybe it was Rexton, so scored on that.
There is the cropped banner on the right side of the image that also must have the "Rexton" name on it, can't see the top letter though, but finally came up with something. VERY interesting stuff indeed. I had honestly never heard of SSangyong.

I really think the star on the grille and MB banner right next to it is probably supposed to be some kind of "slam" on Mercedes, maybe not. I see in the image it has the window sticker on it still. Bet MB would be PO'd having the star applied to it, maybe not, don't know for sure.

Gilly
