Lately, I've wanted to post some helpful pictures for people that need help. Though my pictures have wonderful detail and are less than 66.5 kB file space, it keeps getting bounced back because it's bigger than 800X600. I use Paint Sop Pro. When I use the resize function to get it less than 800X600, the detail goes way down and looks blocky. What am I doing wrong?

I don't know anything about this app but try using Photo Shop Elements. It supports resizing and has a "save for web" feature that lets you dial in the size and pix quality that works for any given resolution. It does a whole lot more....

The only thing you're doing wrong is using the wrong software. Adobe Photoshop is the way to go.

D'ya guys know how expensive Photoshop is? I naively told the woman I subcontract with that I'd run out and pick up a copy for a small project we were working on...I beat a hasty retreat when I saw the price tag--Yikes. I've heard it's the only software to use if you're serious about image editing though.

Photoshop Elements is about $90

I guess I better do some more homework.

I must've tried to buy the premium package, which I think was around $500--too rich for my blood.

What's so wrong with Paint Shop Pro? I know that Adobe's the best if you're working professionaly, but for an amateur such as myself, PSP works very well.

What version of PSP are you running?
