This was a sham...right?
On the way home from lunch I was behind and beside a clean W124 coupe. Ah, lovely cars. Then I saw the badge, and it was "E420." I pulled in-front/beside, and the car was a 94/95 or mock-up and looked stock.
I don't recall the 4.2L V-8 in the Coupe body style? Am I right? Jeez, if I'm wrong, I'd like one.

MB never made a production V8 in the W124 coupe (unlike the W126 coupes). The 420SEC was available in some countries.

That's a shame. A 420CE would be a sweet car. Just another case of "badge engineering..."
