A good friend of mine has been driving them for several years with no complaints. My grandfather (90 this year) still has a late model 3 cylinder Subaru that he has been driving for as long as I can remember. He's in NW PA and the car is driven and kept outside year round. They have a good rep as far as I know. Better oil up the clippers and get started on your snowman I guess...

They seem to be well made little cars. My grandfather had a mid 80's wagon and loved it. I was thinking about one two, but they just seem to lack style and character. They remind me to much of the Camry I'm trying to get rid off. A WRX STI would be a fun car to lease, beat the S*!t out of it and trade in though.

I drove a WRX last year and loved the drive. A little cheap on the interior appointments, but great car overall. I also like the fact that they've stuck with a flat-six, rather than a V configuration.

A good buddy of mine drives a Sub and loves it. Great in the snow, but remember it is a car, not a truck, so the ground clearance won't be as good.

I have always loved the previous generation Imprezas. I'm hoping to find a used Subaru 2.5RS to replace my Celica next year sometime

I've owned many Subarus and they are tough, reliable cars but one thing that was clock work about them was the cam belt snapping and leaving you stranded every 60,000 miles. I hope Subaru fixed that rpoblem. Trivia: I've read that Subaru means " Pleides"(sp?), the star constellation in Japanese. The insignia on the grill is supposed to look like Pleides too.

Nice, very reliable and hardy car.

Think you'll miss the 240D? If you want all the same good points, but with added Mercedesness (quality, refinement, safety), get an Audi Quattro.

good luck

Rusty
