French was my worst (mix of B's and C's), but this year I've turned it around. Advanced Placement Physics is now my worst. That is some seriously hard crap! And now I have no motivation to study... 2nd semester Senior!!!

Andrew, that was both my worst and best subject.

I tried to take it in summer school the first time. My working synapse glowed white-hot for a couple weeks and the went "Pfffft!" I dropped the course and tried again in the Fall. Diff prof, too. I completed both semester of intro AP phys with A's. I just simply could not keep-up with the summer pace.

My all-time, motehr-load worst subject was 2nd semester organic chemistry. I passed with a mercy "C". Ironically, for several semesters organic was the only course that actually had an immediate return on investment.

I tried taking a chem class with lab during summer school also. It's absolutely no fun, you're in class half the day and in lab the other half while your buddies are out surfing. Dropped it after a week.

My absolute worst class was philosophy of mathematics. Eight people in the class and our text was a thrice photocopied version of part of a David Hilbert paper with notation I had never seen. Some guy would ask a question and the professor would stop, think for about five minutes, and mutter a bit to himself. Then he'd look at you funny and say something like "it's pretty obvious once you think about it a little."

Hahahaha! You couldn't PLAN to be that bad a teacher! Your story leads me to postulate the existence of a symmetrical axiom to your "Axiom of Choice" quote. The Axiom of inevitability". It comes into play when you absolutely must accomplish something and insane, unfathomable obstacles rise at each step taken closer to your goal.

Yeah, I'm a sloppy spellar.

Here's the Hamlet quote, it's so beautiful it's worth posting, though I hated having Shakespeare shoved down my throat at school, I was too 'teenage' to know what I was missing.

I have of late,—but wherefore I know not,—lost all my mirth, forgone all custom of exercises;
and indeed, it goes so heavily with my disposition that this goodly frame, the earth, seems to me a sterile promontory;
this most excellent canopy, the air, look you, this brave o'erhanging firmament, this majestical roof fretted with golden fire,—why, it appears no other thing to me than a foul and pestilent congregation of vapours. What a piece of work is man! How noble in reason! how infinite in faculties! in form and moving, how express and admirable! in action how like an angel! in apprehension, how like a god! the beauty of the world! the paragon of animals!
And yet, to me, what is this quintessence of dust? Man delights not me; no, nor woman neither

My worse subject was probably Math. Not because I didn't get it, But because my other worse subject was homework!! And with math you had to do your home work to understand it.

SOOOOO!!!!!!! Why did I major in Meteorology which is just a Math degree. At NC State the year I graduated was the first year they could grant a BS in Meteorology. Prior to that you got a BS in Mathematics.
