Recycled Threads?

Why is it that a host of long-dead topics have recently been resurrected within the past several days? These include Cannibalism, G.W Bush, Rush Limbaugh, Weapons of Mass Destruction, French Strike Back, and others. Has the world become so boring that old topics have to be recycled in order for the political over-analysts to function? Surely one of the great minds on this board (and yes -- that obviously excludes me) can come up with something both new and stimulating...

I've noticed this happening on some of the tech forums lately too. There was one guy in particular who's name I don't care to mention, who was really doing this ALOT for a few weeks to a month, I think back around December. This guy was really new, and I suppose just started going through the Tech Forum and seeing things he wanted to comment about, which is fine, but some of these were really really old threads, and he was addressing these guys participated in the thread who aren't even around anymore.

It seems to happen everyonce in a while. I still love when the NEW vs. OLD MB thread kicks up. That took forever to go away

Be careful...

Forum members will NOT tolerate any threads that follow the lines of "Hey, why is the______thread back?"

If the thread is back it could be for a few reasons:

1) A member posted to it.
2) A moderator revived it from the dead threads area
3) The original poster revived it.

All three actions do NOT have to be questioned. Simply respect the judgement of these persons, and let it go.

And IF a thread was moved to a different forum by a moderator, it would still be listed on the original forum, with an arrow next to it, indicating a move.

Once again, do NOT start useless threads asking why threads are recycled.

Just a little joke...

Not neccesarily. The moderator can choose to simply move the thread, or to move the thread with a redirect in the original forum.
