What can you really catch from a toilet seat?

Those tissue paper toilet seat covers just seem silly to me. So is there a doctor in the house who can educate me on the dangers of public toilet seat usage?

I've wondered that too. Never used an ass-gasket, and haven't caught anything yet.

Not likely.

No, just needed to find the "facts" to back it up. You know what happens around here if you don't have a source for you opinions

Ok sure, but I really want to get to the bottom of this.

Say some guy has peed all over the seat, and you need to poo. While it may offend your sensibilities, you could simply wipe it off with toilet paper and go about your business. Is there any real danger?

I used to worry about that kind of thing too. But heck, not like my ass is clean enough to eat off of either:p

Everyone should have a hep shot. Fast food places have the worst restrooms. Ever since I stopped eating fast food I haven't had any stomach upsets, and I attribute that not to grease in fast food but to the dirty hands of food handlers. The last time I used a restroom in a fast food place I saw a sign that read <>. I was surprised they needed to post a sign.

Be a hero...s#!t on the ceiling!

Nothing much in the way of organic matter can thrive for very long on a toilet seat...those a$$ gaskets (that was funny btw) act more as a placebo, as far as I'm concerned.

Now what lurks in the toilet water is another matter (and I don't mean just fecal).

I don't mind planting my butt on the seat, but I kick flush and move the seat up and down with my foot.

NEVER hand contact.

If it's wet, I walk and hold it.
