the United Kingdom.

It's practically the 51st state...

Zeitgeist 02-05-2004 10:38 PM

...at least that's where we keep our poodles.

fahrgewehr2 02-05-2004 10:53 PM

I'd like to live in the state with colorado's skiing, florida's beaches, New York's entertainment and Maryland's bay. Norway's crime rate, mexico's prices, Prague's women...

Zeitgeist 02-05-2004 10:59 PM

France?

chazola 02-05-2004 11:00 PM

Zeitgeist- true about the poodle, sadly.

luckily you keep your monkey here. :)

France is lovely, unfortunately it's full of french people.

Ever seen a poodle spank the monkey?

Okay, that was bad.

Sorry.

That was bad. But quite amusing- keep it up.

I really like where I am (KC, MO), but I would love to live in Portland OR. If I could afford doing it right, and assuming the locals would be cool to me...they seem a little xenophobic.

Zeitgeist 02-06-2004 12:06 AM

Portland (OR) is my favorite little/big city in the U.S. If I had to move back to a larger metro area, that's where I'd want to do it. Madison (WI) is a close second...

The stand-offishness is a Northwest peculiarity--you'll have to get used to it.

Georgia here, been here since 1967 when my Dad retired from the Navy.

Hey Botnst, I thought I let ya know, as well as everyone else, the reason Savannah has all of those little parks originally was a defense measure. If needed the colonists could block off one or two streets and they had a pretty defendable position.

Hawaii.

Ted,

VA has all but gotten rid of the car tax. Living in MD my state tax is 2% higher and my car insurance is $400/yr higher. That more than makes up for what is left of the car tax.

I don't know how long ago you left but your condo is probably worth a small fortune now.

Easy, southwest Montana. Mountains, snow, cold, mild summers, close to Yellowstone, cheap land, awesome tax structure, enough hiking to make you sick of it, snowmobiling, camping, and great people.

Now, if there were only jobs to be had up there. :(

Zeitgeist 02-06-2004 11:06 AM

Hey I recognize that cover! It's sitting on my coffeetable right now...go Fightin Bob!

Anywhere godless commies congregate--that's where I want to be!
