The difference between a house pet and a food item is just a few day's starvation. The difference between your best friend or spouse and a food item is a bit longer.

That was an Uruguayan soccer team, I think. Maybe Argentinian? My cousin in Uruguay, a contemporary, knew them.
As I recall they got papal absolution. That probably meant an awful lot to folks who had a bad choice and also to the families of "dinner". Surprising nobody (including myself) mentioned that episode in the cannibalism thread. Well that's far-afield from the subject of this thread. B |
