E320 Insurance Settlement

Update on my totalled E320. Well, after almost four weeks, I finally heard from my Ins. Co. They offered me $19,400.00 for the totalled E320. Seems fair. The car had 94K and was in great cond. I looked around at dealers and private sales and I would be able to replace the E320 with another nice Mercedes for that price. Actually, most of the cars I looked at had lower miles. Anyway it's a mute point since I purchased my Jag XJ.

Glad to hear a good insurance story here for a change.

Let us know impressions & problems with the Jag. I'm semi (well, a third. maybe quarter)- interested in one, and it would be interesting for all.

later!

Rusty

Allstate Ins. Co. Very good company to deal with, so far treated me very fair with no real hassles.

I'm glad Allstate treated you fairly.

About ten years ago they screwed me by giving me much less than the value of a car I had that was stolen. I was just out of school, made less than $18,000 a year, and ended up still owing $200 on the loan after payoff. To justify the low payout, they had the gall to tell me that cars in the DC area generally sell for less than the rest of the country!!
