Tracker, the vehicle recovery specialist, has announced that the 10,000th stolen vehicle has been found through its system. The £80,000 Mercedes SL500 had been with its owner for just three weeks when it was stolen. The police returned the car to the owner seven hours after the theft using the Tracker system. Tracker is approved by 36 vehicle manu-facturers and is operated by all 52 of the UK’s police forces. Since the company started production in 1993, it said the total value of retrieved vehicles stands at over £171 million and has helped police arrest around 1400 car thieves.
