Wallet stolen today anything I should do?

While I was lifting today somebody went into my bag and stole my wallet
Didn't relize it until I went to get boxes to ship the w126 bumpers,
Came home stopped all the cards and requested new cards.
Should I report my DL and SSC as stolen as well? voters registration?
any advice would be appreciated

I would file a police report

so this scumbag that stole your wallet might try some unlawful actions with your ID..

Definitely report the drivers license as stolen. A stolen drivers license makes cashing bad checks against your bank accounts all too easy.

Good luck!

Another lesson to learn is to never keep your social security card in your wallet. It is one of the ways someone can steal your identity and obtain credit in your name.

If you have a credit report profile, keep an eye on your credit report periodically in order to spot any mischief.

I'd even keep an eye on your college records. Some hack with a bad idea of fun may alter records (?).
Ugh, big hassle. sorry to hear about it.
I use two small wallets in my pants pocket, not back pocket. I do not sign my credit card. I put a note on it to check driver license.
In one wallet I have my money and driver license.
In the other my credit card and other platic cards like AAA, video etc.
So, if I lose one there is less chance of losing the whole baby to an identity thief.
I don't carry unnecessary cards etc or I.D. with me at all times

Interesting coincidence..my oldest kid had her purse stolen in January (little dumb-$hit left it in her car). She notified everybody (DMV, Social Security, credit card co.'s, police) and thought things were okay until yesterday when she got a $200 bill on a brand new credit card she didn't know she had. Some "bank" in North Dakota. She called them and explained the situation, they checked it out and cancelled the charge and have agreed to send my daughter a letter confirming this action.

Good luck and keep your eyes open. Some ********* is going to try to screw you down the road.

What a PITA!

I'd call at least one of the credit reporting agencies (Equifax, etc.) and put a "fraud alert" on your account....That way if they have charged something on your cards or anything, you'll have a greater degree of protection when it comes to your credit rating, getting the charges reversed, etc.

Phone #s and relevant info can be found here:

Alert any of the companies you might have a "membership card" for. Grocery cards, video store memberships, etc. When my wallet was stolen, the ass rented 10 video games and never returned them! It is fun having to explain to the store clerk that there are 2 accounts under my name, and that mine is the one w/o the $1400 late fee on it...
