Check Your Dryer Vent System

Mine have a lot of lint in them. It's a fire hazzard. I'll be cleaning them on Monday. This situation took 9 years of use.

(Sorry, can't spell.)

And if you have to change water supply hoses . . . go stainless steel!

Also, inspect and replace when necessary, your washer water supply hoses....
After I had one pop on me, I went the stainless steel route. A little added protection never hurts. When we go out of town on vacation, I turn the washer water hoses off.

Last year I used my leave blower in the dryer vent. My wife told me that the lint was coming out like crazy. I think I will do it every year now.

Lowes and I'm sure Home Despot have a really good tools for this. They are intended for cleaning out a chimney flue. You can reduce drying time by 75% by actually letting air pass through. Who woulda thought?

Yes... a leaf blower. What a great idea Flash Gordon. I've been wrestling with how to do that job for a while. I have straight pipe out the basement window ~ 20 ft worth. I like the thought of a little 2 stroke exhaust in the house too - drive the wife CRAZY.
