Summer Concerts...

Anyone have tickets to any yet? I can't wait for this summer. I am a security manager for a 30,000 seat outdoor theatre here in Chicago and this season is gonna rock. Right now, we should have about 35 shows...

DMB and The Dead. May drive up to Chitown for the Gypsy Kings... You don't see anybody in the winter? I saw Bela Fleck a month or so ago.

Would love to see Fleetwood!
Saw ZZ back in '85. One of the best concerts I've been too

The rest you can have.

'cept Brittany, of course (yeah, right )
She'd be fun to see, if she just wouldn't sing

Wish I had a ticket to see the Pixies, but they're not playing near me and my wife doesn't deem it a suitable cause for a road trip

Van Halen!! Back with the best lead singer they've ever had, the Bay Area's own Red Rocker, Sammy Hagar. They are scheduled to tour the Bay Area in mid- August. A friend of mine is their drum tech, so hopefully I'll be able to score back stage passes.

Too bad that Frank Zappa passed on but I have to admit, when I saw him in concert back in the mid 80´s, it was my first concert, it was the best concert that I have ever been too.

Howdy All,
Hope to catch Wylie and the Wild West this summer
Trivia Time: What tv commercial does Wylie do?¿ Hint: You hear him, not see him.

Went to see Prince this past weekend and came away witha diferent appreciation for the man.

HE put on one of the best show's I've seen and I've seen the Stones,Tina Turner, Luther Vandross.....

HE had the crowd grovvin' from the begining and was onstage for a solid 2 plu hours.

Amazing......

Will be going to see Michael McDonald, along with Hall and Oates later this summer.

Thanks

I haven't caught "The Dead" yet, but they're coming to Alpine Valley (1/2 hr from me) in late July.
I thought they were called "The Others", or was that a "late 90's" Dead thing? I just about had a charter with the bus to drive "The Others" from Milwaukee to Alpine, but that kinda fell through I guess.
Hey Ted, you make it from Madison to Alpine in 1/2 hour? You're fast.
My sister and her husband are turning into Parrot Heads, go to the Buffett concert in Alpine for the past few years straight.

Rock n Rolls been going downhill since Buddy Holly died.......

Yup, since coming back to touring without JG they just call themselves The Dead. JG played in a few other bands too not just GD so there are

just isn't the same w/o JG.
well, no but it's still pretty g. the rest of the band is still the same, maybe more sober, but pretty much a jam fest like it has always been.
saw 'em last summer and it was veru kewl.

In two weeks we have a 2 day jam here that has a dozen bands or so but the only one that interests me is B52s which should be exciting...
