I've seen some very large holes left by rotting stumps. Large enough to snag a truck or tractor tire and ground the vehicle. A friend had some large pines removed, the stumps ground down and sod placed on top. A few years later his son and some friends were playing football in the area. One boy was running along and the ground caved in under his foot. He was lucky not to break a leg. Of course you could use these to have a little fun down the road..."Hey Bob, you and Martha go stand over there and let me take yer picture!!"
