digitizing voicemails??

is there anyway to save a voicemail, permanently?

basically id like digitize it onto my computer so i can hang on to it.

Use call center or something like that and record the voicemail to computer.

The short answer is you can. But that is if you use a voice recorder that is connected to your phone. The recorded conversation is then saved as whatever format you prefer. Most likely wave files. There are many companies make such voice logger, the better know ones are Nice and Dictaphone as they work primarily in the call center environment.

Call center is an environment which houses sometimes hundreds of customer service reps that do in-bound or out-bound calls. They can be highly paid lawyers or engineers, or just minimum wage high school kids doing telemarketing.

To convert regular conversations into a digital format, with the right tool, is transparent to you. But can be complicated if you do not know the technology.
