Seeing the POI as the front bumper . . . I'd be surprised if there wasn't serious knee injury.

All we can do here is speculate, there's really nothing we can conclude other than the guy was in a world of hurt. It would be nice if we could find an accompanying newspaper article or something stating the circumstances, the guy's injuries, and any action taken upon the granny.

By looking at the additional pic, it seems like both are at fault. He walked out in front of traffic and she ran a red light.

He had to be in a world of hurt. Notice how far he traveled since the impact?

Like to see a third pic. Did his attache case go through the windshield of the VW? Hence the panic look of the occupant

The "jelly bean" shape of the Estate is a lot easier on pedestrians than the flat frontal area of an Escalade, Dodge Ram, or Hummer, that's for sure!

They're all migrating over from mbworld.org. Beware of 'postwhores'. If you want peace and civility, hop on over to the diesel discussion board.

Some people even post there that have topics that are just about completely irrelevant to diesels. But everyone there is friendly enough to respond politely with useful insight.
