Its summer--No a/c 98 e300d

When I turn on air I get a few minutes of cold air and then it starts blowing hot air. Is this a dryer problem?:confused:

I can't be of much help, but I know if you hold the remote right by the front doors and press and hold the unlock/lock, what ever the case, the windows will all roll up/down and lock/unlock the car....
