98 ML320 Tranny Slip int 4th

It is a 1998 ML320 with 97k miles. The transmission fluid and filter were replaced at about 85k miles using the proper Mercedes transmission fluid.

Just drained the fluid. To turn the crank, I had to use a 17mm hex bit.
The old fluid is yellowish and of course the new is reddish. Is this normal for older fluid (the mileage is 85,000).

Transmission fluid change question

1998 ML320 -- it does not have the red cap that I read about in some other threads. There is a black cap that reads:
"A140 270 00 91 MB WORKSHOP ONLY"

What gives?

Plus, instead of a 27mm...

Cruise control quit

The cruise control on my 98 ML320 stopped working. Tried to set it on the highway and nothing happened. It worked two days prior.

I checked the fuse...looked OK..replaced it...no luck.

Anything...

Limited Slip Differential

Just wondering if the differential(s) on the 98 ML320 is a limited slip type, If it(they) is(are) then would anyone know what catalyst fluid should be used to go along with the hypoid gear fluid....
