I need a new windshield for my 05 clk500 cab. I see a wire in the middle of the windshield. What is that antenna for? Do both cab and coupe have it?

I have had this code for a couple years. It comes back when reset but I see no obvious driving issues.

very hard power steering, hesitates

My power steering (on the 97 E420) does not work well. it gets hard, better, hard again (very hard, no ps at all). Fluid is full and no noise.
How to know whether it is the rack or the pump??

Part discontinued, new part wrong connector

On the fuel pump assembly. The original part is 2094700241. The new part number is 2094701394. But the connector on top (3wires) is different. What is the thing to do?

w209 clk convertible, says top not locked

When the top is closed, I get a warning that the top is not closed, yet everything seems as it should. Which switch is the likely problem.

Btw, all is fine when the top is open -- no warnings.

When I first startup the car, I get a knocking about every second for 30 secs to a minute. I guess it could be an actuator or something. Any clues, any tests?

The car seems to drive like new, but needs new engine mounts.

Is there anything to watch for on this car? It is the 2wd version with all options.

97 E420 (M119) engine knock for 3 secs on cold start

Would this be a symptom of the oil tube failure or something else. Only happens on cold startup. Not when restarted warm.
