Charcoal canister discontinued

So I’m looking to replace my charcoal canister in my 03 W210 wagon, and the part is discontinued! Has anyone had success using a different part number and making it work?

This is the hole I covered with a couple layers of gorilla tape until I get a big enough grommet

Pulled everything out the trunk and got inside and had someone hose it down no water? I did find a missing plug for one of the holes under that black plastic cover in the trunk behind the seat!

Looks like you were right!!!!! Found one bladder bolster on the passenger seat on! Turned it off seemed to do the trick thanks a lot for the tip!!! Vince is the man!!!!

Airbag impact sensor under the carpet under the seat, looked like something spilled down there. $500 at the dealer, but I found a used one on ebay for $40 different car but same part number worked...
