Finally a Club I can be a member of!
I tried hard to join the cheap TD club, but when I made the offer to the guy for the Euro spec manual completely frame off restoration of $1,000... he hung up on me...

One of the rivets that attaches the triangle to the base on mine broke.

I just bought one at Pull-A-Part for a few dollars. It was in a Euro 1977 280SE, underneath a bunch of construction waste in the trunk.

I test drove an '87 W124 earlier today {sadly, not a diesel} and it had a triangle in the trunk. It had the real thin legs on it, though. I'm not sure I knew W124's had them also. Not a gray market car.

The one I sold to daw came from a 1985 W124 euro. Looked exactly the same, but I didn't pay close attention.

I have a foldup one also that I paid $10 for just before I got the correct one for the trunk lid.
