Is there a source for the molding that goes on the doors interrior, around the windows? A few of my pieces have done the curl/wrinkle. Thanx............

as far as I know every car does that. I think the dealer fix was to remover that cheap plastic and show the nice paint underneath. Thats what I did and it looks much better..

Sure..., as soon as I can SEE the cars!
1ft of snow on everything right now and I'm not about to trudge outside to freezeup my digital cam. Trust me, it looks 1,000 times better than that plastic s**t! Not sure what got into MB's head to do such a tacky thing. The paint is gorgeous underneath and it looks "right", as opposed to the browned, wrinkled plastic that looks like a "K-car" from a ground zero nuke test.

Silly People,,,
That plastic is the shiny metal protector put on at the factory so that the metal on the door frames doesn't get scratched during shipment.

My experience has been that if you remove it you will get a whistling noise at speed. I removed one and had to purchase a new one from the dealer because I did not like the noise. It is expensive
and the was wrinkled up within a few months.

) We took his off of his stud little 240, and it looked better with the paint than it would with a new plastic piece.I came home and did my drivers door, and the paint under it is perfect. Since there isn't any paint left on my car, it was nice to see what it used to look like. Be careful, though, because if your door seal is as bad as mine, you really have to be careful when removing the plastic piece. I swear it is tucked 2 feet under the seal.

Here is my wagon with both the plastic door trim and the windlace removed from the interior door rubber. I am considering replacing all the windlace especially at the B pilar.
