Smile Benzmobility - Top Notch

I am so gald to have found Benzmobility, 3 years ago. John comes to my home or office and does really fine work on my M class, for a fraction of what other shops have quoted. He is unusually reliable.
He has now worked on my wife's and daughter's cars, with great satisfaction for us all. THANKS!

Just to let you know, I try to stay away from the older high mileage vehicles because being mobile, I can run into problems on theese older cars with things breaking just by looking at them.
Just doing a brake job can sometimes turn into a nightmare on those really older 80's vehicles.
Any one who owns one knows just how fast they can turn into a money pit.
Alot of independent shops won't even touch them anymore because of the issues they have, but I can refer you to a shop that will work on those older vehicles, just ask.
John.

Wow...

I sure wish that I can get the people here in California to really understand the benefit of having a mobile mercedes benz service.

Same parts, same service, same technician...

lower cost (as it applies to california MBZ dealer rates: for example, MBZ Of pleasanton, Ca $145.00 per hour. R.A.B, marin, Ca around $150.00 per hour. And these are to name a few, and labor rates keep rising, but tech rates stay the same).

Again, I REALLY wish I could make them understand the benefit of having this type of service available to them. I work with all aftermarket warranties, Geico insurance approved service, also all work is backed with a (same as the dealer) 12 month unlimited mileage warranty on parts and labor. Also, all the equipment used at the dealer to accurately diagnose the newer cars, peform coding, flashing and critical updates, all with on-the-go ability!

But I guess that people just like being seen at the dealership.

Oh well.....

Keep plugging John......

Yeah WMB,
The dealerships have their diehard customers that believe that there is no other place than the dealer, but when that car goes out of warranty, they better have deep pockets.
Independents have their loyalists as well, which is great, and you won't see me stealing anybody's customers, but it is cut throat out there and they will do it to me in a heartbeat.
Just keep it honest, and treat everybody the same and word of mouth will get you by.
It's tough at times when it is slow, then all of the sudden BAM, you can't keep up.
I like the BAM times myself, but they are few and far between.
We don't have the big advertizing dollars like the big boys, but we can blow their high prices out of the water every time.
Keep it up buddy.
John.

I don't advertise at all and have all the work that I care to do. Like John said, treat customers good and they can't write the check fast enough. It blows me away how much work is out there if you don't mind providing the service that they are looking for. I am wrapping up a '85 engine/tranny rebuild that the bill is going to end up being around $6k (parts and labor including five new pistons) and the guy is grateful as all get out that I took the job on. I hope to bolt the tranny up to the engine this weekend.

Actually, I own THREE of the "older ones", and I don't consider them to be money pits at all!

I suppose if you took it to the dealership for every minor little repair, then it could get ridiculous, but...

Hell, ONE month's car payment on a new Mercedes would be more than I have had to spend on my '79 300SD in the past YEAR or more!.... Not to mention the money I save on insurance, registration, etc.....

Just my 2 cents worth...

Mike

Yes Mike, but I'm sure you take good care of yours.
Most of the ones I've seen have been severely neglected.
By the time I would get called to work on them, they have already been to three different shops who can't fix them right or the customer wants it worked on for free.
Or the customer has known problems of certain things and has you adress one problem and blames you for every other problem the car has had for the past three years.
Just not worth it to me to deal with it especially since I can't carry every replacement part for theese older cars on my truck.
I can go on and on.
I will stick to the late model service and leave the older cars for guys like
Engatwork.
It's easy to get taken advantage of out there, and believe me when I say that there are ,unfortunately, alot of dishonest people out there of which I see many.
I have learned from experience that it is not to my advantage to mess with them for too many reasons to list.
Nuff said.

Mikemover,
I love your signature comment about the ATF.
If a store opens up like that around here, please tell me, I'm there!

Good repair shop, Athens area?

1989 300E

I usually go to the Benz dealership, but I sure could stand to save a few bucks on an A/C compressor replacement. But I gotta have reliable and honest service.

Anyone?

The Benz dealer estimated $1,700, btw.

Jimmy
