A/C condenser.
My 1989 260E has just been diagnosed with a leaky a/c condenser. Up to yesterday, my car had its original R12 coolant.
The best price I have seen for a new condenser is $CAN500. (outch). Labor: about 2.5 hours + refill Any chance that a condenser could be repaired, soldered? JackD |

To begin with, that price sounds really high.
Depending upon where the leak is, it is very possible that it can be repaired. I would start by looking for a local radiator shop and ask them to look at it. Good luck, |

Larry: I'll have it checked by a rad. shop.
The price for an A/C condenser at my beloved Benz dealer is $Can546.00 or $US410. Jobber : $Can492.00 or $US369 Fastlane $US305. JackD |

Click on Fastlane above and call Phil. I fully expect he can beat the dealer price by a considerable amount.
Good luck, |
