MBUSA Sticks their head in the sand again
I've read dang near all of the post in the 27 some pages related to the HB problem.
I have a 99 w/the bad part number. Spoke w/the local dealer, they deny knowledge....they referred me to MBUSA. Just disconnected w/one of their phone monkeys who quite frankly did an admirable job of deflecting every point I made: Japan recalling all of their units; the NTHSA's investigation etc. Bottom line, NO JOY. Won't do me any good to take them to small claims court, the failure has yet to occur. Perhaps those who assert it is the corporations, no government, who are running our lives. OK...do I feel better? No not really. I still have a car we'd saved for years to purchase for it's realibility and safety profile only to end up w/a headache. thanks for listening ray |

The MB service level has reached an all-time new limit.. It has dropped to ZERO!
In my little country i have already heard or read about dosens of cases where MB denies all knowledge of problems they earlier fixed under the warranty/extended warrenty. A rust spot in the middle of the roof of a 1 year old car is suddenly not MB's problem because "The warranty only cover rust that comes from the inside of the car"..! WHAT!? Electrical problems in brand new cars are not MB's problem because "The owner must have gotten moisture or water in the switches.." (So don't even think about opening your door when it's raining!) It is so bad people are putting up web sites like www.f*ckmercedes.dk to tell others what MB cars and service level really is like. (website is in Danish) A survey asked the 12,000 owners of 30 different car brands how they would rate their dealership's service level. BMW was rated as number 1. And MB came in as number 30.. I'm just glad there's no discussion about who pays for the repairs on my old 300E. ![]() Freestyler P.S. Sorry for getting carried away..
