warm engine hesitation

What should I check if a cold 260E engine runs fine with a fast response on acceleration but after 70-80C and higher the engine starts to hesitate on acceleration and shake on idle?
Ths.

All right, what about the termo probe, which controling the instant temperature of the engine, located somewhere on the back side of the engine ( I have not find it yet). As I know it should send a signal to the Ignition Control Module. How can it affect the performance?
