1990 300sl no power when a/c is on
My car has been in the shop on and off for 2 months with them trying to stop an oil leak. so far i am $1200 into it, and its in my garage no with a lake under it. But while Ive had it back, i noticed that with the a/c on, the car wont get out of its own way. it takes about 2 to 3 seconds of using the gas peddle before the car starts to move. without the air on, it still has a half second to second pause, but then it goes fast. any suggestions, or is this normal and my car has been gone so long that i forget it did this? thanks

hmmm where is this oil leak that they fixed? is it the upper timing chain cover? or the front main seal? I can't imagine it costing that much to repair an oil leak. Unless it was a head gasket or rear main seal.

so far they replaced the head gasket, timing chain cover, valve cover, distributer, and whatever else would have been in the way to do those. Im dropping it back off on monday, to let them try again.
