Do a search in the diesel forum on "rod bender." If the swap was done right it could be a real nice car.

The 126 was not offered in 1992 in the US or Canada.
I'm not sure where the engine number is but it should begin with 603.970 if someone isn't pulling your leg. Sixto 95 S420 87 300SDL |

the vendor may have said the engine came from a 91 350sd.the original motor apparently burned out due to leaky injectors diluting the oil.the car runs great smooth and quiet with power.this is a mechanics car and the work under the hood looked factory.i was impressed but ive heard the horror stories about this engine

The easiest though not throughly reliable way to distinguish a 603.96 from a 603.97 is by the oil pan. The 603.96 has a separate chamber of the oil pan extending to the exhaust side of the engine. The 603.97 has a one piece oil pan.
How does it run? Sixto 95 S420 87 300SDL |
