CC Fan will not run fast
Hello,
'92 300TE My Climate Control fan will not run fast -- only slow and medium. Replaced the old and crusty looking fusible link and no change. Fuses all appear good. What's the next step? Thank You!

You will have to pull the windshield wiper motor and the cowl grill to gain access to the motor and controller. Once you get in there, the first thing to do is give the motor a spin and see that it spins very freely. When mine failed it locked up solid with worn out bearings I suppose.
If the motor is free, you will need to test the voltage to the motor in the various speed settings. There is a very good thread somewhere that gives an extremely good pictorial disassembly step by step for getting down to the motor. It's not too bad of a job if you will look over that thread before tackling it. You can probably find the thread by searching something like a/c blower motor, or something like that. Good luck, |
