1992 300se 140 A/c Problem
A/C COMPRESSOR WONT KICK IN PUT A BYPASS SWITCH IT WORKED FINE TRACED ALL THE WAY UP TO THE WINDSHIELD IF ITS THE PUSHBUTTONS HOW CAN I DETERMINE DOES IT HAVE A SELF TEST THANX ????? HERES A PIC OF MY TWO PRIDE AND JOY 88 300E /92 300SE

If your saying you jumped the compressor and the compressor came on that means that the system is probably low on freon. It has a cut-out switch that won't let the compressor come on becasue the oil is mixed in with the freon, so no freon means no oil. You most likely have a leak at the evaporator if you haven't had it fixed yet. Do a search, I'm sure it's been covered before. Also, ALL CAPITALS usually designates yelling over the internet, please turn off the caps lock.

The compressor is directly controlled by the base module based on an input from the PBC.

The system has a dignostic routine, I dont condone bypassing anything, you could hose the compressor!
