W124 Driver's Window

I've got an odd wrinkle on my E420. Driver's window goes down easily but won't rise with the console switch.

If I use the key in the locks and hold it in the far right lock position long enough to trigger all the closing processes, the window will rise.

Any ideas?

Yes, I did do a topic search on this and found nothing appropriate to my situtation.

Best regards

Sounds like a bad switch to me.

Try taking the console out and switch the pass.side with the dr. side. You can get a used switch for cheap. Check your local recyclers

try cleaning it first...

Due to the location, sometimes the switches get liquid spills into them (soda, etc). If that does not work get a new switch.
