How to turn off alarm?

Fella's,
I believe my W210 has a regular alarm system. How can it be deactivated? The owners manual has no info on this. Also, does the system have settings or options that can be changed?

THANKS!

I am not sure about your alarm

My '90 300D has the usual MB automatic door thing and an alarm made by Excaliber. To deactivate it, I turn on the ignition, then throw a tiny switch located way under the dash. This makes the alarm stop beeping and the doors no longer close after 30 seconds delay.

Hope that helps.

Stick the key in the door and unlock it. On our 124 and 126 you just turn the key to the left when facing the driver's door. Don't tell me it's going off NOW is it?
Thanks
David

Nah, battery isn't dead yet!
Reason for asking is that I store my 210 during the summertime to drive my other, sportscar. I always disconnect the battery then, which wasn't a problem for my old 124. For the 210, however, it's very different (alarm goes off!), so just wanted to know how the alarm can be deactivated.

THANKS!

Dunno if it's the same as in a W126 but in a W126 there is a relay under the passenger side footwell area. Under the carpet. I believe by disconnecting this relay it will disengage the alarm.
